Diagnosis
If the above symptoms are present a doctor can order a Fasting Blood Glucose Level Test and an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test, both blood tests to determine if the person has Diabetes. The former is conducted on a person who has not eaten anything for at least 8 hours, while the latter is conducted on a person who has not eaten anything for 8 hours, has done the fasting test, consumes a glucose containing product and then does the test. Both these are required to get an accurate Diabetes diagnosis.
